PR Manager, North America

For this new role at MOO, we are looking for a creative, independent, and energetic PR Manager to oversee our US public relations and media outreach.

It’s an exciting time at MOO. Historically known for our high-quality business cards (and much-loved brand), we are expanding across print and digital products to help small businesses build well-designed brands. This role offers a great opportunity to join our ever-growing Brand and Communications team and bring MOO’s story to life in the US and Canada.

In this role, you will oversee our PR function in the US. You will work to develop and execute PR strategies that tie in with our overall multi-channel marketing and communications strategy. You will excel in the role if you are a highly professional, independent self-starter with strong communication skills and an ability to translate global strategy into local executions that deliver powerful results across media platforms.

This role is based at MOO’s US-headquarters in Boston. You will work very closely with the US Marketing team in Boston, but report to the Global PR Manager based in London, at MOO’s Global HQ.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Global PR Manager to develop and deliver a solid, focused, and results-oriented PR strategy to bring MOO’s story to life and maximize its reach in the US
  • Manage the PR and speaking calendar in the US to support the overall PR strategy
  • Partner with global teams, regional marketing leads, and outside agencies to define key priorities and deliver on them
  • Oversee US PR agency relationships to ensure understanding of and execution against strategic and tactical objectives
  • Secure steady and impactful media coverage among relevant consumer, business, and vertical targets
  • Build strong relationships with press, key contributors, publications and influencers
  • Collaborate with other Brand & Communications team members to extend cross-channel communications for maximum impact (e.g. social media, content strategy)
  • Draft press materials including press releases, by-lines, fact sheets, media alerts, briefing documents, Q&As and talking points
  • Support the Global PR Manager in developing a global speakers programme of profile-raising activities and correlating content; manage programme in the US
  • Produce regular reports on the business impact of all US PR initiatives

About You

  • 5-8 years Public Relations experience; seasoned in both B2B and Consumer PR
  • Proven track record developing and implementing successful PR campaigns at local and national levels; a plus to have translated global PR strategy into local execution
  • Solid understanding of the US market, with a deep and verifiable list of pre-existing relationships among key editors and other media contacts at business-, creative-, and tech-focused media outlets
  • Extensive practice overseeing PR agency relationships– from spearheading the selection process, to managing the day-to-day, and driving hard results
  • Experience in fast-moving, dynamic press office environment with changing priorities and aggressive deadlines
  • An optimistic, creative thinker who sees the big picture, but is equally happy deep in the details of execution mode
  • A passionate and disciplined self-starter requiring little supervision in the planning and execution of tasks, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; uses all available tools to communicate clearly and impactfully; can create compelling copy that captures attention– be it a press release or content for an Executive speaking engagement
  • The confidence, presence and personal credibility to quickly establish successful relationships, including across geographies and cultures.
