We spotted it over at the Adegga blog. This is a companion site for the about-to-launch ‘social wine discovery project’.
Adegga decided to use MiniCards to invite 200 people to their site. Each invite needed to contain a unique login code. The tutorial explains how they did this, using a little bit of magic and Google Spreadsheets.
It looks like a bottle of wine and a few glasses of port were also involved in the process, but if you’re a non-drinker, I believe this is optional.

In the article they say they used the “name” property for the picture. Is there a way to modify any of the other properties of the picture that can by used on a moo card? I’ve tried but can’t figure it out.
I really want to be able to customize more than one line per card…

@Dave, I’m not sure – most of the article was beyond me but drop them a line and see if they can help.
Interesting idea, but actually quite simple: all they did was rename each photo to a different invite code, and have Moo print the “photo name” on each card’s back. That way, with different photos for each card, you’d have a different invite code!

So how can I get the unique photo name on the back of the card? What exactly do i type into the text box, is there a list of variables that do other stuff?
@ Richard, if you are using Flickr, and your photographs are all named, there is an option when you personalise the cards, to have each card printed with the name of the photo.
It’s a drop down. You can also include the url and some other metadata.
