Our friend, Emma Jones from Enterprise Nation, contacted us last week to tell us about a really cool project that she thought MOOsters might find interesting. Emma and a small documentary crew are hitting the UK roads in early September to find interesting home businesses to feature in an upcoming documentary.
The Enterprise Nation team will visit home business hotspots in Scotland, North East, London, South West and the West Midlands between September 14th and 18th. They will film by day and at night host get-togethers for anyone starting and growing a business from home.
In particular, Emma’s looking to meet people who run their businesses from their homes AND hold down a full time job. I personally can’t imagine doing both but evidently there’s heaps of you who are already doing that. She’d love to hear your stories (and frankly so would we). Just meet up with the crew on their tour and tell your story. It will also be a great chance to meet other home business owners and swap stories. While, you are at it, why not swap a few business cards or MiniCards too.
Sorry, can’t find anything like this.

I have two sets of Minicards, which I love. But I hate Moo Business Cards. They aren’t standard size, are narrower and taller than American Cards. Made the mistake of ordering some and when I got them today and saw they were of an odd size I just threw them in the trash. Won’t fit in wallet laminates, won’t fit in business card files, what’s the point?
Hi Sam,
We’re sorry to hear you’re happy with the non-standard size of a MiniCard but that the Business Card size being slightly different to a USA standard card has come as such a horrible shock. The dimensions are shown on the product page – so we do try to prepare you for this.
We’re also very sad to hear that you didn’t fancy trying them out before you threw them away too – they do seem to be working for our other customers both in the USA and beyond. (In fact lots of people like them for their slightly differing proportions).
As you know, we ship to many countries around the world – and different countries do have different sizes set as the ‘standard’ for their cards.
We chose this size as it’s somewhere between the European size, and the USA size – and we designed it specifically to fit in as many global, standard sized business card holders as possible.
It sounds like on this instance we have failed you – but we’re grateful for your feedback – and do hope that you continue to enjoy the MiniCards if you can.
My MOO cards are the best! As an artist, the quality of the color printing is amazing! Every detail shows without thickening the lines. Usually, a “reduced” piece of art looks terrible.I started my business while working…not easy, but it worked! I am getting ready to order more cards today.
I have had a business from home for just 4 months now doing canvas printing and photography, I do on average about 70 canvasses a month whilst holding down a full time job… love it, but it does become hard work… especially when Im sat up late now sorting my stationary, website etc… cant wait to trial some MOO stuff.
