Kieu was our very first MOO Ambassador who helped us out at Imaging USA earlier this year. Not only did she wow us on the tradeshow floor, but she absolutely bowled us over with her amazing handmade origami MiniCard holders.

Aren’t they lovely? Kieu is so nice, she even volunteered to show how she made them. Take it away, Kieu…

I made my very first MOO cards in 2010. It represented a significant moment in my life for two reasons. One, my very first MOO cards! Two, the cards were for Bound in Japan, a community art project I had been developing for close to two years. I made a very bold decision when I made these MiniCards — I put a date on it: 2011. That meant within the following year I would be quitting my job, raising a large amount of funds, and traveling to Japan for four months to execute my project. It was a bit scary to take that final leap of faith but also incredibly exciting.
Fast forward to 2011: I’m in Kyoto fiddling with my MiniCards trying to figure out a good way to add some personalization. Well, I was in Japan after all and I had some origami paper so I started folding. After some trial and error, I created this origami slipcase. I could handwrite notes on the slipcases, and I love all the colors together. I’ve gotten lots of comments on both my MiniCards and the slipcases. They’re a great conversation starter!
Care to try? It only requires ten folds and a MiniCard as a guide.

Hi Su- Thanks for the feedback. Will definitely be passing this along to our product team.
The origami slipcases are creative and beautiful. What a great idea!
I think it would be great if Moo offered mini envelopes or something similar for the Moo cards.
