Add some shine with a new MOO design competition!
You might have seen that we recently launched Gloss Business Cards and MiniCards, which we are really excited about! We think they are perfect for photographers, artists, illustrators, designs – in fact; anyone who wants to show off their images in pocket-sized, MOO-quality, glossy-glory.
Recently we’ve had a series of celebrity card competitions, in which we’ve asked you to come up with Business Card designs for Zeus, Christopher Columbus and a sticky label design for Leonardo Da Vinci – pretty good, huh?
This time, we’re taking the theme of gloss, shine, and quite frankly, running wild with it!
So this isn’t just any old competition. That would be boring. As you may know, we here at MOO love almost anything involving Lego (mostly because none of us ever really grew up), but also because it’s really cool! This month, we’d like you to recreate your favourite famous or vintage photograph using Lego pieces, in return for the chance of winning a prize. How’s that for a creative challenge!
Here’s what our art worker, Rob, came up with:
Can you guess which film poster Rob got his inspiration from? You don’t have to use a film image as your inspiration, we just liked this idea.
This competition is not just for photographers, though; we would love to see your ideas no matter what your creative medium. We’ll accept drawings, photos, paintings, as long as they’re the right size for a glossy Business Card.
Every design we receive will be entered to win $300 cash and $100 to spend at MOO. And as if that wasn’t enough, we’ll print some Gloss Business Cards using your designs and send them to you for free! So simply email your Gloss designs to designs@moo.com by midnight (PST) on Tuesday 2nd October and our photographer, Rob, will pick out a winner.

How is everyone liking the gloss cards? I just received a set I ordered and I think they look MUCH cheaper than the matte cards. I don’t plan to order them again… It was a little disappointing.
