More about us, more about you
We’ve given away 10,000 free 10-packs! The Bebo freebie madness is now drawing a close as orders are being fulfilled and people are receiving their cards.
We’re really happy everyone likes them – reading all the comments has been fun, and slightly addictive. Here’s just a few:

Its been crazily busy since we launched Bebo. Sometimes we wonder why we do this to ourselves – giving away 10,000 cards is a big task simply as the uptake is so speedy, but actually, its a lot of fun. And, you know… we like you! Seeing our little cards go off into the world gives us all a warm feeling inside.
So far we’ve sent 1500 10-packs out, with thousands more to follow in the next few days. Big MOO is working hard and our many little MOO’s are rushing about in frenzy of activity. We’re got orders from UK, USA, Chile, Niger, Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand… the list goes on.
Our Bebo page itself has been a hive …Continue reading this article…
January 2007 sees MOO launch another exciting partnership, this time with Bebo. Bebo is a popular social networking site which gives its users the tools to build and customise interactive profiles. Together, MOO and Bebo are helping young, savvy and sociable web users to share their online lives with their friends in the real world.
Bebo is also one of the fastest growing hot spots for new bands and artists. We love our music at MOO, and are excited to give new talent a platform for promotion. MiniCards can be used to make anything from gig tickets to flyers to collectable promo cards. Card packs can hold up to 100 different images, along with contact details, Bebo profile urls, and …Continue reading this article…
We’ve got a new friend! MOO have teamed up with Bebo to make Bebo MiniCards. If you’re a Beboer, take a look at our swanky new profile page at moo.bebo.com. Why not make some MiniCards to share with your friends, use as flyers for your next gig, or party invites?
For those that aren’t Beboers, we’d describe Bebo as a social networking site for teenagers. You can set yourself up with a profile, photo albums, a blog and a few other things besides. Its a fun place to hang out with friends. Now, members of Bebo can use images from their photo albums to make MiniCards. There’s a choice of exclusive funky icons and different styles for the back.
We’ve had lots of fun with Skype MiniCards, and seen some very cool little cards being made. We’ve shipped to 107 countries, and given away 1000′s of free minutes. We’ve looked at the funny stuff you’ve written on the front of your cards and thought ‘Gah! I wish I’d thought of that!’
But like a packet of your favourite sweets, all good things come to an end. The Skype promotion is drawing to a close.
But not yet!
You’ve got 7 just days to make some cards! So what are you waiting for? Go on!
MOO CEO, Richard Moross, and CTO, Stef Magdalinski, have been invited to present at the ‘Future of Web Apps’ event. Taking place in London on February 20th-22nd, it’s a conference about emerging technologies, Web 2.0, and web applications of the future. They’ll be in good company, as the conference line up looks great, so if you’re in London and have the chance, check it out.
I’ll also be on a panel at the ‘Future of Web Design’, taking place in April. I’m really excited about this too. There are some awesome people speaking. Again, it’s in London, so if you can make it, I hope so see you there.

Thanks to all who came to our new-product meet last night. We had a lot of fun, and learnt a lot of stuff about what you like, what you don’t like and… what you all drink! It was great to meet you all, we look forward to putting some of our – and your – ideas into practise soon.
We’re planning more meet-ups for the future, so if you couldn’t make last night, then hopefully we’ll see you next time. More details when we recover from this one.
Check out LunaSol’s beautiful framed MooCards! Wanting to make a pendant from her favourite cards, but unsure about glass cutting and soldering, she had the brilliant idea of using microscopic slides. A bit of investigation led to a site that sells ‘Memory Frames’, which fit the bill perfectly. Read more about her ideas.
Following on from the Moobeius strip made with MooCards and Lomo clips, Don Sorsa has made an art exhibit for the Chicago Critical Mass art show. The Lomo clips work really well with MooCards – we’ve seen a few different constructions popping up…
And finally, its not *all* about photos… these beautiful illustrated cards by Geninne really caught our eye. …Continue reading this article…
