Welcome back to our MOO scavenger hunt.
We hope you enjoyed the first round of questions. If you’re reading about our competition for the first time, we hope you’ll enjoy the 2nd series!
There’s lots more to discover on the new MOO site, like the Inspiration Gallery and our Expert tips section. To make the tour even more exciting, we’ve added a few quiz questions, to keep you on your toes… And some prizes too!
How does it work?
Just reply to the 3 following questions before Midnight on Sunday 22nd August.
1. Back in 2008 we held a world-wide egg hunt. What nationality were our MOO Easter Eggs?
2. Our recycled paper is called ‘MOO Green’. It’s made of 100% post consumer waste …Continue reading this article…
Those of you familiar with MOO will have noticed some pretty major changes to our site over the past day or so. Yes, we’ve redesigned the site!
As we’ve been hinting at for the past few months, we’ve been preparing some changes to the site, and this is the first of a series of upgrades we will be making over the next couple of months. Let’s look at what’s changed and why…
So what’s new? A new homepage for one thing! Hopefully you’ll agree that it provides a fresh and clean outlook on the various MOO products, as well presenting useful and relevant information into new ways you can use your Business Cards, MiniCards and more! There’s links to …Continue reading this article…
We received such a positive response from our MOO Ideas Book, that we launched The Business Card Project to help inspire small businesses with a business card design inspiration gallery of their own. Since we launched the project back in June, we’ve tackled hundreds of redesigns spanning a range of industries from healthcare to consulting and entertainment to retail. No matter what industry you’re in, there’s really no excuse for boring business cards. And as they say, ‘the proof is in the pudding’, so here we go!
Mobile Libations, a cocktail catering company in San Francisco, benefited from a $500-share of our $250,000 design investment. We took their wonderful collection of cocktail shots and turned their black & …Continue reading this article…
It’s been almost two weeks since we officially launched The Business Card Project and our designers have been working hard to rid the world of boring business cards. We’ve received hundreds of applications, so many thanks to all those who’ve applied for a redesign–you’re keeping our designers nice and busy!
Since we’re a couple weeks into the contest, we thought this would be the perfect time to share some of our favorite makeovers. Loads of new designs have been added to the Gallery, but one of our personal favorites here at MOO HQ is a redesign for a company called Downtown Custom Printwear.
Downtown Custom Printwear is a screen-printing and embroidery shop …Continue reading this article…
If you’ve been following this blog for a while or met any of us in person, you probably know we’re passionate about design. That’s why we take great care and effort designing products, packaging and even our website to ensure anyone can easily create beautiful, well-designed cards. We know you know the difference a well-designed card can make and how it can be the difference between getting remembered or getting tossed in the rubbish bin. You only need to scroll through the MOO Flickr pool for proof of the amazing cards MOOsters have created!
Sadly, we’re still being handed limp, torn, dog-eared business cards. We think these cards send a signal that this business or person doesn’t …Continue reading this article…
Over the past year, we’ve been lucky enough to meet a lot of you in person at professional photography events such as WPPi, Focus On Imaging, Photoplus Expo etc. More than a few of you asked us “When is MOO going to team up with SmugMug?” Luckily, the SmugMug team was also there and we all agreed it was a perfect match. Thanks for the introduction!
Fastforward a few months and today, we’re excited to announce that you can now make all MOO Products – Business Cards, MiniCards, Postcards and Greeting Cards – using your SmugMug …Continue reading this article…
Continuing our week of blog posts in honor of ‘Small Business Week’ in the US, we’ll be blogging about small businesses and the things they wish they’d known, ways to promote yourself, and ways to get – and stay – motivated.
We’re also asking you to share your own experiences in the comments for some useful prizes, and to help out others in the same situation. We know you’re busy people, so we’ll be announcing the winners next Monday, to give everyone a chance to respond.
What’s in a name?
In Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare’s famous heroine Juliet passionately asks:
“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose
by any other name would smell as sweet.”
Sadly, the same …Continue reading this article…
WOW! We’ve had an overwhelming response to our ‘Classic’ paper contest and are now really quite spoiled for choice. We really underestimated how many of you would have so many ideas, thank you!
There were some creative (and some rather crazy) ideas in the comments on the original blog post, as well as over on Facebook. The whole MOO Crew had great fun reading them all.
As to not keep you waiting any longer, we’ve narrowed the 150+ entries down to a shortlist – although our short list is actually quite long! We’re going to continue to battle it out at MOO HQ to decide on the ultimate winner, but in the meantime we’d like to give a few extra …Continue reading this article…
As we mentioned a couple of weeks ago when we launched our Photo Enhancement tool, this is a very exciting time at MOO. Over the next few months you’ll see plenty of additions, and some dramatic changes to the site and the way it works.
So today is the day to tell you about the next new feature to debut on the site – Save Your Project.
This has been perhaps the most requested product feature of the past few months. Lots of you spend many hours crafting and perfecting your MOO cards, and the ability to take a break and come back to finish it later would allow you to take the time you need to make sure everything is …Continue reading this article…
Those of you who follow us on Twitter will be aware that over the past few months we’ve been looking for a steady stream of people to come to MOO HQ to help us test new developments on the site. We’re sure it doesn’t take a genius to add two and two together and figure that we’ve got lots of changes planned, to roll out over the next few months.
There will be lots more information on that to follow but in the meantime, the first fruit of this major update is ready to be unveiled…
Photo Enhancement
