It’s a most wonderful time of the year to get even more crafty!
December 2012, by Jovanna | Add a commentA couple of weeks ago, we shared a crafty piece of inspiration for your left-over Christmas Cards and showed you how to create your very own crafty star. So we thought we’d continue the theme of home-made decorations made from printed products, and this time I was inspired by Chinese paper lanterns, and I realised they sort of look like baubles, too!
This craft is really straightforward to make; you don’t even need any glue, so it’s less messy! You’ll just need 2 greeting cards, a hole-puncher, a pencil, a ruler, 2 paper fasteners, 1 piece of string.

I always appreciate receiving a handmade present, there’s something rather personal and special about it. When we decided to make new sets of Greeting Cards, I wanted to bring as much as possible of a handmade feel into my designs.
For inspiration I settled on one of the most iconic seasonal themes and symbols; the snowflake. Snowflakes are incredibly intricate and fascinating objects that always amaze me when I see them up close. ‘But how do I bring the human touch into a printed product?’, I asked myself.
