Jules Hurtig

Thank You Card

These Thank You Cards are inspired by the bold and clear typography of the cinema hoarding letters. Deliver your gratitude with the style and panache of a headlining star in the swinging 20s arriving on opening night.

About this design preview

This design is inspired by Hurtig and Seamon’s theatre in New York, founded by Jules Hurtig and Harry Seamon. They had those interchangeable letters outside on the hoardings, advertising the current features, and those letters had to be tall and condensed to accommodate long film titles as well as actors with long names. This gave everything a monolithic sense of scale.
