Striped Santa

Postcards

Who says Santa can only be red? Give the holiday season a vibrant, Pop Art twist with this 60s art inspired design. Kris Kringle is represented in unconventional colour while a bit of abstraction lends itself well to the medium of print.

About the designer preview

I wanted to keep it simple with this design, so I created a card featuring one of the most iconic holiday faces. Pop Art is known for using famous consumerist images as a focal point – I wanted to take the famous face of Christmas but abstract it to illegibility. The result is somewhere between Andy Warhol’s aesthetic and Bridget Riley’s Op Art of the 60s.
