Senior Designer, Online

Overview

We're looking for an amazing Senior Designer to join our Creative team based in Old Street, London.

Reporting to the Creative Director this role works collaboratively with other members of the team – from our information architect to our product managers, junior designer and marketing manager.

A fun and hard-working environment, everything at MOO is designed with the customer in mind. Usability and clear communication is at the forefront, but never at the expense of, great visual design. We're as proud of our physical products as we are of moo.com itself, and look to provide a seamless journey between the two.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Creative Director to continue the development MOO's visual language online. The focus will be on all things digital, from the design of moo.com itself, to supporting micro-sites and online advertising.
  • Working with the brand to ensure consistency in all online customer touch points
  • Leading design projects from conception to completion
  • Collaborating with the team to develop strong, usable sites, based on sound design knowledge, testing and user feedback.

About You

Friendly, passionate about interaction design, and excited to be part of a strong creative team. With a love of learning, you'll be a self-starter, able to figure things out for yourself, but never too proud to share ideas, ask for help or make the occasional cuppa. Detail means everything to you, a creative thinker able to see past the current trends.

A middleweight or newly appointed senior designer in your current role, you'll be looking to make a positive move to a new position and make your mark on the design world, and this much-loved, award-winning brand.

While this is not a developer's role, some knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes is beneficial.

Experience & Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field and/or a thorough understanding of graphic design and theory
  • Substantial experience in online design from a commercial background
  • Proven experience working on large-scale and feature-rich sites
  • Proven experience in static and dynamic page designs
  • Proven understanding of branding guidelines and business objectives
  • Proven experience in photoshop, indesign, illustrator, flash and a basic knowledge of HTML
  • Experience in working as part of a team and delivering projects in a collaborative, timely manner

Part-Time Copywriter (2 days a week, in house)

Overview

We're looking for a part time copywriter to join our Creative team based in Old Street, London. You'll be reporting to the Creative Director and working collaboratively with other members of the team – from our marketing manager to our information architect, product managers and junior designer.

A fun and hard-working environment, everything at MOO is designed with the customer in mind. Clear communication works hand in hand with a well designed site, providing a seamless experience between the site and the products themselves.

With strong online experience and an easy, conversational style, you'll be able to think like a creative consumer of our products and identify with their needs. Able to write the same piece of copy in five different ways - and always on brand, you'll enjoy contributing ideas and brainstorming with the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Creative Director to ensure MOO's communication is always consistent and on-brand
  • Writing a range of copy, from newsletters to case studies, FAQs to to blog posts
  • Collaborating with the wider team, sharing and contributing ideas

About You

You'll be friendly, passionate about commercial copywriting and excited to be part of MOO's creative team. Able to identify with your audience, you'll enjoy the challenge of making the complicated simple, celebrating and communicating with our most creative customers.

Able to turn your hand from 'micro-copy' to longer articles, you'll enjoy working both on and offline, within MOO's brand guidelines.

You'll have killer punctuation skills, able to spot a typo at fifty paces.

Senior Product Manager

Overview

Based on market knowledge, research and a devotion to the MOO customer, the Product team is responsible for the strategy, development and performance of MOO’s industry-leading product portfolio and ecommerce stores.

The Senior Product Manager will be focused on both MOO.COM stores (US and EU), ensuring flawless process for customers to buy our growing line of print products and accessories. This role will be a leader within the organization, helping to identify key initiatives for site optimisation and leading cross-functional teams to see those initiatives through to launch.

The Senior Product Manager will demonstrate:

  • a deep understanding of ecommerce best practices;
  • a passion for meeting customer needs and wants
  • a confident grasp of the evolving online print market;
  • the ability to focus on existing initiatives while keeping an eye on future trends and opportunities for innovations;
  • the ability to own the product development process from business need through to launch and analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify short and long-term initiatives that optimise the customer’s buying process
  • Focus on key service-level products, including payment and shipping products
  • Lead concept and development of multi-customer system that enables small businesses to easily design and order for their teams.
  • Effectively collaborate with Technical, Marketing, UX, Design and Operations teams to successfully drive projects through to completion;
  • Manage MOO’s product roadmap along with Head of Product, ensuring Roadmap projects are in line with key business objectives while maintaining focus on customer needs.
  • Work closely with Technical team on defining product scope and delivering requirements
  • Leading on-going reporting of Product initiatives, identifying areas of success as well as continued improvement
  • Communicating regularly with Executive Team; selling-through top-shelf projects that will enhance MOO.COM performance
  • Manage partner relationships, identifying desirable third-party features and managing partnership integration.

About You

Experience & Qualifications

  • Five – seven years of proven experience in Product Management in an online environment
  • Track record of launching consumer facing products and services on ecommerce site
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodology in an online environment;
  • Must come from an online/ecommerce background;

Director of Operations

Overview

Reporting to the VP Operations, the Director of Operations will manage all print and dispatch operations for moo.com globally - currently located in the United States and the United Kingdom. The position will directly affect MOO's success and support MOO's premium market positioning by ensuring the highest levels of quality, productivity, efficiency and delivery service level. This position would suit a candidate with significant operational management experience, ideally with a background in a print, mail-order fulfillment, customer contact or service environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive production strategy to improve margins, reduce risk and improve customer service
  • Coach and mentor the Production Manager for each fulfillment center
  • Ensure production partners deliver to the highest quality standards and in compliance with SLA's
  • Continuously pursue ways to improve order to ship performance
  • Assist product designers with development and sourcing of components for new products
  • Reduce product costs and risks by securing alternative sources of materials
  • Establish policies and best practice methods for inventory control
  • Build internal processes to ensure that products are shipped to quality (color and finish) standards, within promised times and on budget
  • Propose new operating metrics and reports to improve visibility of operations performance
  • Research and plan for future operational facilities

About You

Candidate Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience managing large teams in a production, assembly or other direct labor environment
  • Experience with commercial printing operations is required
  • Have managed operating budgets in excess of $1M
  • Must be able to manage remote, global teams and partners
  • Direct experience with process management, inventory control, and quality assurance in a production environment
  • Must be able to negotiate, execute and manage to vendor contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Expert level skills with internet, email, and office productivity applications like MS Office
  • Up to 30% travel, domestic and international

Senior Software Developer

Overview

MOO are looking for a highly experienced and exceptional Senior Software Developer to join the Development team based in Old Street, London.

You will work with the lead architect to define our future software strategy, lead on development initiatives and mentor junior members of the development team.

Responsibilities:

  • Write code that will transform the capability of our products – this is very much a hands on role for an exceptional coder;
  • Lead development initiatives on both the public facing website and the back end systems;
  • Keep abreast of the changes in the technology landscape;
About You

Experience & Attributes Required:

  • At least 5+ years of software development in a world-class environment;
  • A good understanding of agile software development practices and XP techniques, preferably hands on experience of SCRUM.
