What are MOO MiniCards?
To put it simply, MiniCards are little cards with your photos or designs on one side, and your details on the other. MOO like to think of them as little calling-cards; cards you hand out to keep in touch with friends, or new people you meet.

The image side of each card can be different, so if you are making a MiniCard 100 pack, you can choose up to 100 different photos or text designs to put on your cards. If you decide to choose less images, our special software will fill up the rest of the pack with duplicates in equal numbers.

Making MiniCards is simple, and fun.

So, are MiniCards double sided?
Yes they are. The picture or design is on one side of the cards, and on the reverse, you can have up to 6 lines of text. Use the text to add your contact details, a party invite, birth announcement, save-the-date details& anything you like. With some of MOO's partners you can even add your buddy icon, or one of the icons we've made for you.
I've seen you do 'Text MiniCards' and 'Photo MiniCards' - what's the difference?
Text MiniCards are little cards designed with graphic text on the front. They're for the wordsmiths among you - and those with blog names and urls they want to pass on.

Use our online tool to add your text, and then make your cards unique by positioning or angling the words, changing the text or background colour, and adding background patterns. Just like regular MiniCards, every card in the pack can be different, or you can design just one or two, and our special software will fill up the pack with duplicates.

Photo MiniCards, as the name suggests, are MiniCards with your photos on. Every card in the pack you are making can display a different photo or design - so if you are making a pack of 100 cards, you can choose up to 100 different images.

If you decide to choose less images, our special software will fill up the rest of the pack with duplicates in equal numbers.

Once you have chosen your favourite photos, you can crop and position them using our online tools.

Can I mix a pack of Text and Photo MiniCards?
I'm afraid not. We like to keep things as simple as possible for everyone and mixing up a pack really does get complicated - trust us. We know.
How big are they?
For those of you with a ruler, the MiniCards are 28mm x 70mm. For those of you who left your pencil case at home, that's roughly half the size of a normal, boring old business card.
What can I use them for?
Some people use them as little calling cards, or a simple way to hand out blog urls or contact details. Other people get more creative with their cards. These are some of the things we've seen people making:

Magnets, gift tags, invitations, flyers, keyrings, decorations, jewellery, mini portfolio pieces, moving house cards, new baby announcements, save-the-date cards, wedding favours, treasure hunts, trading cards, memory games.

Who are MiniCards for?
MOO think MiniCards are for everyone. Kids, babies, men, women and pets who've become proficient in the use of the internet. You're all very welcome to MOO's world.
What are MiniCards made from?
MiniCards are made from satisfyingly heavy paper, sourced from sustainable forests. It has a nice, smooth satin finish.
Is this paper ok for scrapbooking? Is it acid and lignin-free?
Yes, we're pleased to be able to tell you, the paper MiniCards are printed on is both acid and lignin-free.
How are they printed?
MiniCards are printed on digital printing presses which use a 4 color ink process. All MOO products have a protective coating or laminate which should stop the colours fading for a long time.
How are the cards packed?
This depends on how many you order. The 10 pack promotions, or the 'sample-size' Bebo 10 packs come in specially-designed dispensers, and the 100 packs come in a fancy presenation case.
How do I order them?
There are three ways you can order MOO MiniCards, but don't worry, all of them are really simple:
  1. With the MOO Uploader
You can upload your own gifs, pngs or jpegs directly to MOO, using the MOO Uploader. Find out more about this in the Uploader FAQ or go straight to the Uploader page.
  2. With MOO's partners
MOO partners with a variety of different sites, which means you can import your images straight from a partner site and into MOO really quickly. Take a look at the sites we partner with to find out more.
  3. Using images from MOO's designers
If you don't have any images of your own, or you'd like to make something a little different, then MOO designers are for you. We have a great selection of images in a variety of different styles, all available for you to make professional looking cards. Find out more in the Designers FAQ, or start browsing images to see what's available.
How do I pre-crop my images, and get the sizing right?
If you'd like to custom design your cards, or crop images specially for your MiniCards, read our format guidelines. We also have templates you can download to help get you started. This requires a little bit of technical and application knowledge though, so if you're not sure, use our online cropping tools instead.
Do my photographs have to be landscape? Can I have cards the other way up?
Once you have selected the images you'd like on your MiniCards, you can use our online tool to crop and rotate them. This means you can choose portrait or landscape images - whatever takes your fancy.
Does MOO retain any rights to the photos I uploaded for printing?
Absolutely not. Your images remain your copyright, they belong to you, not MOO. We may store them for a period of time, to facilitate re-ordering, but only you will be able to re-order the images you upload.
How much do they cost?
To see prices for a single pack, or for bulk discounts, head over to the 'paying for your stuff FAQ'.
How much is shipping - and how long will it take?
For the cost of shipping a single order - or a bulk delivery - and to find out how long your order will take, please see the delivery FAQ.
Can I get my cards printed in other languages and character sets?
You'll find that on the reverse side of your cards, MOO supports all the given character sets in the Unicode Specifications. That means everything from the full European set to African, Indic and Asian scripts.

However, on the front side of the TextCards, which use more 'Fancy' fonts, some characters might not be supported.

We've tried to choose fonts with as many characters as possible - so try a few different ones before you make your final choice. Typedesigners are a funny bunch, and not all of them design fonts with complete character sets, or the same character sets.

My friends got cards for free - I know the offer has finished, but can I get a free 10 pack? PLEASE!
Sometimes, when MOO launches MiniCards with a new partner, we give away a limited number of free 10 packs. But 'limited' means there's only a certain number, and once they're gone, they're gone... sorry! We can't make any exceptions, not even for you.
