The art of putting on a show

End of year show cards Making your mark in the crowded art, design and photography world can be daunting.
For students, end-of-year shows offer a first chance to impress potential clients or employers. For employers, it means a pocket-full of collected student business cards that all look the same. If you're putting on a show, make sure you're remembered.

Print a range of your best work on Business Cards or MiniCards and offer them to your visitors. When they get back to the office, they'll have a reminder of both you AND your work, and most importantly - a way to contact you.

We spoke to Ian Macaulay, photography tutor at LCC (London College of Communication) and asked him to share some tips on preparing for the perfect end of year show.

A study in Senior Portraits

Senior cards The growing market for 'Senior Cards' is presenting photographers with new opportunities for business. For those keen to offer something different to clients, MOO can help provide an enhanced, 'Senior Portraits Package'.

Make the most of each photographic session by offering a range of shots printed on Business Cards or MiniCards. Add graduation open house information or the student's contact details on the reverse - they're perfect for sharing with family and friends.

We got an extended lesson on Senior Portraits from photographer, Amy Newbauer.

Polaroid's little brother

Photojojo When a pack of super-cool Business Cards catches our eye we have to shout about it. So when we spotted a sleek, nostalgic set produced by Photojojo, we couldn't keep quiet. Featuring Polaroid-style prints, all of the images were taken with the Fuji Instax Mini camera, which immediately develops credit card-sized photos with a cool, retro feel.

After pestering them to tell us more, Photojojo finally gave in and are currently offering $10 off the price of a Fuji Instax Mini ordered though their online shop by the end of April! Just use the code MOOFUJI.

And that's all for now,

See you soon,
The MOO Crew
